How do I reboot my Polycom Phone?
Many simple issues may be solved by rebooting the phone, which takes about 2 minutes. Thinking Phones Networks supplies three different series of Polycom phones. Instructions for rebooting each model follow.

To reboot the Polycom 301
The Polycom 301 is a two line phone and has 3 small black oval buttons beneath the display screen.
To reboot: Press and hold the '+' and '-' buttons, which are just below the keypad, and the 'Hold' and 'Do Not Disturb' buttons which are to the right of the keypad. Keep the keys held down until you see the message "Reboot Initiated". At this point you can let go of the buttons.

To reboot the Polycom 330
The Polycom 330 is is a two line phone and has 3 small black oval buttons beneath the display screen
To reboot: press the '+' and '-' buttons under the keypad along with the 'Speaker' and 'Hold' buttons to the left of the keypad. Hold these down untill the phone beeps. When you see the "Reboot Initidated" you can let go of the buttons.

The 501 is the three-line phone, and has 4 small black oval buttons beneath the screen, and 3 blue buttons to the left of the screen.
To reboot: Press and hold the '+' and '-' keys, which are below the keypad, along with the 'Hold' and 'Messages' keys, to the right of the keypad. You should hear a series of beeps. Keep the keys held down until you see the message 'Reboot Initiated".

To reboot the 550: hold down the 'Messages' and the 'Microphone' button to the right of the display long with the '+' and '-' keys below the keypad. You should hear a series of beeps. Keep the keys held down until you see the message 'Reboot Initiated"

The 650 is a 6-line phone, and has 6 small black or grey oval buttons to the right of the screen.
To reboot the Polycom 650, hold down the "Messages" and the 'Microphone' button to the right of the display long with the '+' and '-' keys below the keypad. You should hear a series of beeps. Keep the keys held down until you see the message "Reboot Initiated"

How do I set up a Speed Dial?
To use your phone's Directory, press the "Directories" button, then Press 1 for "Contact Directory."
or press the Menu buton, and press '1' for 'Featuers', then '2' for 'Contact Directory'.
- Scroll down till you reach the first number you want to add to speed dial.
- Press the button for "Edit" at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down to the "Speed Dial Index" field
- Hit "Save"
- Repeat for all the names you want in speed dial.
- To access the Speed Dial list, press the ^ (up arrow key) to the right of the display screen.
- Press and hold an available Line Key (These are the keys to the left of the display screen)
- A set of directory fields will appear
- You can enter First and Last names, phone number or extension, and speed dial index.
- After this, pressing that line key will dial the number assigned to it.
How do I check my voicemail ?

There are two ways to check voicemail from your Polycom phone
- Press the Messages key, then press the connect soft key.
- or: dial *123.

There are two ways to check voicemail from a remote location
- Dial the 10-digit number whose voicemail you want to check. Press '*' when you hear your greeting. As prompted, enter your password.
- or: dial the number which will take you to your company's Auto Attendant. When you hear the Auto Attendant greeting, dial 999. You will be prompted to enter your mailbox number. This may be your 10 digit number, or your 4 digit extension.

- Press the 'Line Key' for that extension, and then dial *123. You will be promped for your password.

How do I set up the voice mail greetings for my phone?
If you are a new user, your password will be your 10-digit phone number, or your 4-digit extension. New users will hear a special "Welcome" message and you will be guided through the intial set up.
To change your greeting, password or away message, enter your password and select 0 (zero) for 'Mailbox Options', and follow the prompts.
I have a voice mail greeting that I can't erase. How do I get rid of this?
Access your voicemail as usual.
Then hit 0 to get 'Mailbox Options'.
To access the Temporary Greeting menu press '4', then press '2' to erase the Temporary Greeting.
NOTE: A temporary greeting 'masks', or covers, your regular greeting. When a temporary greeting is in place, your regular greeting will not be heard.

How do I update my phones when I have a new employee or when someone leaves?
- Employee name
- Phone number and extension for this employee
- Date and time of activation
- Email Address (if you want the Voicemail to Email option)
- Temporary Forwards (if any)
- Out of Service Number (if any, as a back up in event of outage)
- MAC Address of the phone (the 12 digit alpha-numeric code on the back of the phone.)
