Thinking Phone Networks (www.thinkingphones.com) is seeking well qualified applicants to join the provisioning team of a fast growing, business-focused Unified Communications provider in the Cambridge MA area. An ideal candidate is a college graduate with superior academic performance and outstanding credentials, possibly also with 1-2 years working experience in an IT, telecommunications, or business operations role. A bachelor’s degree is required for this position.

Soft Skills
- Candidate must be 100% professional, and be able to patiently and effectively communicate complex concepts to audiences with varying skill levels, in person, on the phone, and via email.

Hard Skills
- Candidates should be familiar with basic office productivity tools: MS Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT, Visio, and be comfortable using web based applications.
- Familiarity with telecommunications, PBX systems, and number portability a big plus.
- Knowledge of project management methodology and tools (e.g. MS Project, JIRA) a plus.
- Any hands on IT experience (e.g. Networking, Linux OS, Excel macros, programming) a plus.
Responsibilities
- Work with customers to understand, document, and analyze their business requirements.
- Design and provision new customer configurations in the Thinking Phones Unified Communications platform based on customer requirements.
- Train customers on use of the Thinking Phones platform including voice, video and application components.
- Configuring handsets, network devices and unified communication tools to be deployed in customer environments.
- DID (direct inward dial) ordering, testing, and provisioning including using a collection of carrier specific tools.
- Managing the number portability process for Thinking Phone Networks customers including CNAM and DL (directory listing).
- Order and manage the circuit installation process for TPN customers working closely with partner carriers. Work closely with TPN certified vendors to conduct inside wiring surveys and then to manage the necessary wiring.
- Organize and oversee shipping activity to and from customers and partners.
- Manage physical inventory of network and phone equipment working with vendors as necessary.
